Leather cleaners, alternatives.
I've had good luck with Doc Baileys, wasn't a fan of the HD "Black Leather Rejuvenator". I'm interested in perhaps a professional product that'll shine and protect my leather saddlebags and tour pack. I was seriously considering good ole fashion Kiwi Shoe Polish. Black leather shoe polish protects and shines boots and shoes. How different can the leather bags and tour pack be from boots and shoes?

I’ve also had good luck with Doc Bailey’s products, especially if I have some scuff marks that I want to blacken back up. If not, I also like using OBENAUFS Heavy Duty leather preservative. It keeps the leather soft and preserves it. Also waterproofs. Some people don’t care for the feel of the leather after application. It has a waxed jacket feel at first. As it is made with beeswax as one ingredient. But , I’ve brought back to life more than one piece of “dead “ leather ,with it.

I love Doc Baileys Leather Black. If you like it why try anything else?
I did buy some Fiebings saddle soap this weekend at an estate sale but havent tried it yet. Let me know if you want me to test it out.

First, is the leather coated or uncoated?
Drip a couple drops of water on it. If the drop beads, its coated. If it soaks in, uncoated.
If uncoated, Leatherique. It is a process but nothing cleans like their system.
Coated, take your pick from any reputable company. Not really cleaning the leather you are cleaning the coating

This is what we use in our shop on every product that goes out the door .. Great stuff ..
