Default S100 carnauba wax

I'm not a fan of the S100 spray-on washer, but I was wondering if anyone has tried their carnauba wax?

I’ve always been a fan of a high percentage carnauba wax. 25 to 30 % is ideal. Carnauba wax is naturally resistant to moisture, oils, acids, oxidation, wax build up or discoloration. It leaves no residue and naturally wears off in about 6 months, shorter if left outside all day, maybe 4 months. Plus, touch it with a soap or detergents and it washes right off, leaving your bike ready for an easy refresher waxing and another season of riding. Some waxes claim 100% and contain 5%. Check the label, if 20-30 %, great up to about 35%. Anymore and it gets difficult to polish out.

Just calculated the carnauba percentage for S100. It appears to be between 23 and 28% yellow carnauba. That’s a good wax.

It's a great wax. Been around for a long time and it's fool proof. If you're wanting a carnauba paste wax, it's hard to beat. Note that this is a "pure" wax, not a cleaner-wax. so if you've got any issues you want to address in the paint, you'd want to take care of that before applying the S100.

I stopped using paste wax about 4/5 years ago and haven't looked back. If you like a paste, check out Collinite's 476S Super Doublecoat. My father was a detailer
many decades ago, this was all he used. I used it for many years with great results. But, as with any products we use today, some like this, some like
that effect is always going happen.

I've been using the S100 paste wax for at least 25 yrs. Goes on and off easy, no powder residue and it lasts.

In the past, I have used quality carnauba wax. I now have a couple of cans of it sitting in the cabinet. I now use ceramic coating and it really does last a long time and look fantastic.
