Ok i keep my own bike clean but here is my thought?

If your doing this, And your doing it right and getting everything clean all pcs and parts and all the chrome cleaned up and shining like new.

If iam paying $100 bucks or more the bike better be dam near show ready spotless and ready to go.

I know the amount of work that goes into cleaning these bikes and how long it takes me to completely hand was mine and dry it and wax it all and iam not even getting it perfect but as dam close as i can and i have been a slacker there cause i ride so much.

But if its done right i would have no problem paying $100 bucks to have it done and if i were going to do someonelses bike i sure as hell would not do it for under that.

2 guys for an hour for a hundred bucks?
That is 50 bucks an hour a piece!!! Holy Christ.....we are not talking
about dental surgery!!!!!! No College degrees involved?
You are washing a bike and drying it.......can it be done for $15
an hour, which is more than I make an hour........(I guess a TIP is expected also)
I have never had my bike detailed....because I was affraid to ask how much.
For a hundred bucks........you have to be SHi++ing me!

Chuck
I do my own detailing but for that kind of money it's more than a wash and dry! I want all the chrome polished, the undercarriage cleaned, under the fenders, removing seat, saddlebags, trunk. Everything dried no spots and polished/waxed. I use to detail cars on the side and I am way to **** to be satisfied with an hour job!

Those prices sound high to me guys. I pay $80 plus $20 tip to get my car detailed. That includes wash, wax,and full interior cleaning.

I`m a blue collar worker so if i thought that i could get $150 plus tipto detail a bike i`d quit my job tomorrow! Besides there are alot of people out there that don`t make $150 in a days work so to spend that much on getting your bike cleaned sounds crazy to me. Thats just me i don`t have extra cash like that laying around to pay someome to clean my bike, maybe i`m just cheap. I would never get my bike detailed but if i did i wouldn`t want to spend more than $50-$60.

Tuckahoe - if you offered to goto the customers home you would be adding value to the detailing service and could probably chargemore.

O.K. ... This is a great topic. First of all, to detail a bike properly a $100 is not enough!
Consumable materials alone would be almost half of that. The water should be filtered, plastics cleaned and polished. Paint properly cleaned, buffed out (if spider webbed)and sealed (but breathable), chrome properly cleaned buffed out and sealed as well as aluminum.
Chassis lubed, paint inspected (full bike and touched up if needed - simple touchup takes 48hrs. if done properly and that is the quick method)
Leather treatment is also a science or it will be short lived.
NEVER USE A POWER WASHER etc.
It takes me (2) 8 hour days to detail my bike and like I said, the materials cost me almost half of that.
I don't know what you are getting for a $100 but you shure wouldn't touch my bike.
