Anyone have any suggestions on a what cleans up chrome real well befrore polish. In fact what do you do to clean and protect chome with out using anything too harsh. What type oftopcoat on chrome and pipes. Sorry for all the dumb questions fellas bear with me. Thanks.
For normal maintanace and clean up we use Polishing Soap. If you feel the need to do more polishing make sure you use a high quality "chrome" chemical type polish...no abrasives.
Dont bother waxing pipes as the heat will make it go away after first ride.
Gords does have some sealant abilities to it but I have never read the temperture range.
I've noticed after the winter in my enclosed trailer that all the chrome on my engine, (rocker boxes, cam cover, and primary) have little white spots on them. i hit them with never dull wadding and they are still there. any suggestions?
I was looking around on an old thread and found where someone said use wet aluminum cooking foil to restore old chrome sounds scary to me.

Sounds like it may be humidity. I would try a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and bottled water.
If that doesnt get it maybe you can take a pic and show it here.
