Angry Bug splatter ?

Just curious what people are using to make removal of bug splatter easier on bat wings, shields and chrome ?

I only know about step number one.

Put wet towel on them as best you can. Soak. Once they are rehydrated they tend to just wash off like the rest of the dirt.

Yup that ^^^^^^. I use a wet towel with the water has hot as I can get it. Place the towel on and in 5 minutes and the come off fairly easily.

I use The Tarminator on all my vehicles...spray on, and wipe off...couldn't be easier. It will remove wax though...

Fabric softeners/dryer sheets like Bounce. There is something in them that takes the bugs right off. Follow that with a little detail mist and a microfiber. I keep some in a ziploc bag in my saddle bags.

Thanx for the ideas.

Anything that helps, with them not being so damn sticky, prior to riding ?

Is there any, one thing, you use after a wash and detail that you feel is best ?

Around here about the middle of August, the damn grasshoppers are the size of dachshunds and impossible to scrub off.

After a ride, the hot towel works good to loosen up the bugs. Once it's all nice and clean Bugslide is good to help on the next round of bugs. Puts down a protective coat to help with removal. It's like a detailer spray, good for all painted surfaces and glass.
