Default Dyna Engine movement...What is acceptable?

I purchased an 06 dyna last week. After riding it a while something felt off. Found that my front motor mount was shot. I replaced the mount and the vibration I was feeling is gone. When I did my after test and was revving the bike quickly at Idle the engine moves vertically a bit toward the front more than rear. I know that these rubber mounted engines are meant to move some. I just cant seem to find how much movement is acceptable.

Anyone have knowledge on this?

It's normal for the motor to bounce around at idle, but I've never seen anything that actually describes what those limits are. You did good in changing the mount, just ride it and enjoy.

If you look at the front mount there is a a gap at the top and the bottom, thats how much it can move under load (about 1/4" total) . As for what is called idle shake it rocks, or nods about 1/16". It looks a lot more but if you measure thats what you get.
