SO I got a new 15 dyna street bob and I'm putting thunderheaders on but what should I do after to reduce popping? I was thinking fuel Pak and stage one download and maybe filter or is it worth it to get a dyno. Help
Got some bad *** pipes, now finish the stage 1 with a nice air cleaner and fuel tuner. Any ac that suits your eye and hopefully a nice tuner like the Power Vision, skip the Stage I HD download. A dyno for a Stage 1 bike is a little bit of overkill IMHO, but would produce the best power if done by the right dyno tuner.

Sorry to clutter up your thread. But this would in turn mean I am able to put exhaust only on without a tuner on my new 14 SB? I did it on my 12 72, but didn't know if the new 02's caused running issues or if the loss of convertors caused such or CEL, etc.

No more needs to be said!

As long as you keep the air box stock and do just pipes you won't have a problem.

When I bought my pipes they didn't come with head shields but they guys I ride with said I shouldn't rap them cause my heads will heat up too much. I was told thunderheaders cool down fairly quickly and don't need them. Considering they cost 250 which is ridiculous. I will definitely do the air cleaner and fuel tuner thank you.

Wrapping your pipes does not make them "heat up too fast." It does keep heat in the pipes instead up allowing some of the heat to escape the headers. But that is the purpose of the wrap. The hotter the exhaust gasses are kept, the better faster they exit the tail pipe.
