Clean and smooth looks real good man.

Did you happen to notice what speed you hit on the dyno?

I was too fixated on my bike, but my buddy said he saw the dyno speedo at around 160

Default Bob is the man

I want to say a few things about bob at Rc cycles.. First of all the man has built quite the reputation for himself over the past few decades as being a great tuner. Knowing that, I wasn't sure what to expect, some guys with a rep like that can be harsh to deal with. Not the case with bob. I showed up with one of my good friends and my brother met us there, I was going to see if he would let me sit in on the dyno and expected my brother and buddy to have to wait outside, but as I was telling him "as soon as you want us to leave, say the word and were gone", he said "hell no man you've got some money into this thing let's see what she got!!" Threw us each a set of ear muffs and went to work, man I have serious respect for anyone who tunes because that is a very tedious job. He was funny and great to deal with throughout the tune, and after he was done he sat down and kind of explained what your trying to achieve with a tune and why some tuning modules are "better" than others. Kind of took us to school for a few minutes. Interesting stuff, I was extremely nervous when the session started but he made it fun. Anyway, just thought I'd share that.

Oh just to add... He punched the hole in the pipe out a bit when he first started and said usually the bigger motors don't respond to bending the tabs in the th as well as the smaller motors. When he was done, he said he didn't see any reason to bend any tabs

Ok so I was able to put a few miles on yesterday after I changed the oil and then took it to work this morning. This things got power everywhere, and I can't get over the throttle response it's incredibly quick. Snappy as hell. I'm assuming I can ride it however I like after the dyno but I'm still taking it easy(ish), mostly for me. I've jumped on it a few times but I've still yet to run it wot through the gears, still getting used to being back on it. Should I still be running the rpms up and down? It's only like 26 miles to work but the freeway backs up to work and the way home so I haven't been holding 1 rpm for extended periods anyway but it would be good to know if I'm ok doing it now. That chrome a/c cover is driving me nuts but it's gonna have to stay for now, I'm not parking her again for a while

Well I obviously can't answer your questions you know that. Funny about the WOT thing, I've done it a couple of times but just for a bit because I feel like I'm going to be launched. Can't imagine what your may feel like!

The tuning comments you make are great. I have basic understanding but no more than that. It's really nice to hear about a tuner that will help you to understand the process and such. I've chosen someone nearby that seems to have the same mentality as yours.

Thanks Monster as always!
