Everything looks dry man. I'll check it out better tomorrow. It almost smells like really rich exhaust when I think about it. Not really like raw fuel. I'll check it out tomorrow I'm going to celebrate tonight boys. Cheers!
Both my bike and my friends bike smell parked in the garage. Didn't notice it until we bought houses. I think it's just the rich fuel. I've decided it's normal as I have zero leaks and I know my tune is perfect.

My Dyna did this and now my Sportster does.
It's either unused fuel evaporating through the AC or unspent fuen in the exhaust.
Monster.
Review please. Inquiring minds want to know how this beast is treating you.
Haha no jail, no ditch. I'm loving this thing guys, been changing the oil as much as I've been riding but it's getting close, 750 mile oil change tonight and then back to synthetic at 1000. This bike runs and revs so smooth it's unreal. I'm still trying to get used to the clutch, it engages nice and smooth but the adjustment calls for .070 of travel on the pressure plate which leaves the engagement point at the very end of the lever travel, I'm used to it being a little more toward the middle. The bandit instructions say to back out the allen one full turn but I'm wondering if I go a half a turn if I can adjust the slack to where the engagement point is a little more in the middle. Any of that make sense? I should probably re adjust the clutch now anyway after almost 1000 miles since it was brand new. I've been averaging about 39 mpg city/highway, not riding too aggressive but not babying it around either. That's running about 75-80 on the highway. Not sure I'm liking the 30t pulley, I kind of naturally like to settle at around 3k on the freeway and to cruise at 80 I now have to run it up to around 3400, I don't really care about the extra rpms but I know it's affecting the mileage. That and it seems like the belt gets much tighter once on the ground with the 30t. I might switch back to 32t but I'm not sure yet. The valve train is stil quiet as can be and I'm surprised to not hear the gear drive at all.
Haha I got stuck in the rain on the way to work on Tuesday, weather app said 0% chance of rain and it poured on me halfway to work. I was pissed because I wasn't prepared for rain so I was soaked to the bone, shoes full of water and all. When I got off the freeway I wasnt trying to be stupid but grabbed a hair more throttle than I should have and thought I was goin down haha. She's a handful in the rain to say the least.
Everything just seems to work so well, I'm very pleased and the lope at idle makes me smile everytime I come to a stop. And how fast it revs really surprised me. When you want throttle, you get all you want as soon as you twist the grip. I haven't ran it through the gears at wot yet, and haven't powershifted it yet but when I do I know for sure that the front end will probably pickup into third gear. 2nd for sure. Either that or blow the back tire off haha, I need to get a new tire. Also that stock basket is still in the back of my mind so I try not to ride it like I'm at the track (plus I finally have a clear driving record... Temporary I'm sure...)
Anyway yea I'm pleased with the outcome, it was a little bit of a bumpy ride but 100% worth it now that I'm riding it again. I really need to finish up the powder coat but it would kill me to park it.. Thanks again to everyone who helped me through this process, if we ever meet up, the first ones on me
Oh just to add: I've been keeping an eye on my breather filter and it seems to still be dry, no mist on the bike or anything like that yet.. That may change when I go back to synthetic so if it does I'll be putting together a catch can. Would be cool to make one, we'll see
Dontcha just love having power everywhere. I wouldnt want any more power. I cant imagine going from stock to a 124. People should just skip the 103, 107, 110 BS and go for it!

that's why i kept mine stock my motor has plenty of power now and pulls good even in 6th at 60 mph. and my mileage averages 42 mpg and get better on the interstate when on a trip. with your power it will be the same and u will improve your mileage. its amazing with big flowing heads and the cams to support them along with the higher compression. How fast these engines turn up the rpms you just have to keep grabbing gears its instantly at the rev limiter! having a sticky rear tire that front end is going to be in the air all the time. the ME 880 200 just spins on mine in first and second but if I power shift from first to second it almost goes over back wards if i dont let off.scared the hell out of me first time I tried it.
