Serviced the front forks with new bushings, seals and oil. Found the PO (and partly myself) had let the majority of the oil disappear from the left fork. Also while reinstalling the front wheel found it to be quite un-true.
You did all this after buying and installing that nice black horn cover? Are you selling it?
BTW, I ordered the T-70 torx tool, gaskets, and oil/filter/funnel/etc. that I'll need to change out the rear drive belt and change the engine and tranny oil, too. Hopefully, I can get them in before this weekend, so I can do the job then.
Yup, I've got a pile of parts that I need to get out of my garage. $30 and I'll ship it to ya.
New Dunlop 401's front and back. Couldn't deal with the old Pirelli's that were sun-dried by the Vegas heat for the last three years anymore...lol. Now that I can put the power to the ground this bike is just getting more and more fun by the day. Feel bad for my Low Rider though, I've ridden it maybe twice since I got the tsport...
I just installed a set of flame gas cap and LED gauge I got from another member, but it seems as though the gauge isn't accurate. When I first installed it, I checked my tank, and showed 130 miles to Reserve, but the gauge only showed 1 LED lit. So, I figured it might need to be reset, so went to the gas station and topped off the tank, but it still shows 1 or 2 LEDs that are NOT lit. Is there something else I need to do to adjust/reset this new gauge?
