Default saddle bag question

Ok I have a 09 dyna, I want to put some throw overs on when me and the wife take a few weekend trips this year along with a luggage rack on the sissy bar for a tour pack.

My question is about the bracing, the bike has a quick detach sissy bar on it and Im not too excited about having to buy a solid mount bar. Is there anyone here that has made the supports work with a quick detach?

If not I will just make sure the tour pack is packed to the max and not run any bags at all.

You can use long wire ties to hold them in place against the frame.
Or, you can stretch a wire or wire tie diagonally across so the bag can't rub against anything.

I just wire tie them in place and cut the tie when I get to my destination to remove the bags.

If your talking about the bag supports that Harley sells, they will work fine on the quick mounts. Harley says they won't fit, but just leave off the spacer for the rear mount. The quick mount sticks out far enough you don't need the spacer and the front mount uses the shock mount bolt.

I know with our saddlebags, the quickdisconnect works by mounting the supports up against the bag... helps it keep better shape this way, I'm sure the wiring would work, but it's definitely not a good solution for long term. We got the throwovers available for most bags too.
