Only problem with my backpack is , that it is rather large and I had to snug the straps up to keep it from rubbing on the fender, but no big deal to me
I was the other way around last year when I had a 60 mile commute to paramedic school....with all the books I had in it, I loosened the straps so it would sit in the fender and take the weight off
though I had a denim paint job at the time and it really wouldn't do anything to it
I rock a back pack all the time on my bike, no problems as of yet. I got a bad I got at the local Walmart in the motorcycle section. Has support in the back as well as a chest strap to help hold it on and with the pressure on your back.
