Default 103 Dyno Results

stock 96 With SE 254e cams high flow and V&H slipons 2011 FXDC

Went from a 96ci to 103 10.5:1 SE254e cams,Revolutuion performance stage 2 heads with man comperssion relases, SE 50mm TB with high flow 4.9g/s injectors,High flow and stock head pipe with V&H slip ons. Tuned with SE race tuner then dyno tuned to get the AFR safe to break in then will re tune and change the spark advance and closed loop bias.Did the build and tuning myself at work on my days off this winter, I am a Tech at a local H-D dealer.

Not bad for a 103 with a .535 lift cam

I have not seen any SE254e cams in a build like this before and wanted to see what it could.

I know i could get more TQ and HP from a higher lift cam but just wanted to see where this cam made power.Going to re tune once i get more miles on her and will post the results.

Interesting post, would like to hear some thoughts from others on the results. I am trying to relate the results to the cam specs and it is kinda interesting - like the very small amount of overlap/short intake duration/low lift, I really would have thought you would have done worse in the higher rpms. There also is a bit of a "struggle" around 2400 - 2900 rpms, thinking that is mostly from the late intake closing and maybe the low lift too.

Overall I am really kinda impressed with the results. The 254s have some odd specs, running a 2 into 2 with I am assuming cat still installed, 103" and getting decent numbers.

If I had my way though, Andrews 54s and a nice 2 into 1, then let you retune....

By the way, welcome to HD Forums, nice first post!

The stock head pipe does not have a cat in it for 2011.
I think the short dip is the exh because the dip is also in the 96ci dyno graph.
i plan on putting a D&D 2into1 Fat cat exh on soon.

Well the D&D Fat Cat helped my dyno results a lot in the low rpms and the high rpms(not very much in the middle) over my old 1D5250 Bassani RR pipes.

My dyno tuner wished I had picked out the louvered baffle vs the perforated, thinks the dyna D&D Fat Cats need the extra constriction - Steve at GMR Performance. Just thought you might be thinking about which way to go.

Keep us posted, always like to mull over dyno results!
