HD Quick Release Compact Windshield?
....snip.....
If you are planning some long trips I would do a windshield such as the one you're looking at, keep front flow off arms, chest, head. To deal with the buffeting though do some searches, quite a few people have had incredible success with a deflector attached underneath the lower triple tree where the headlight clamps on thus keeping the wind flowing under the tree and deflecting it downwards. Think of an upside down pie plate cut in half with the sides aimed towards the frame to deflect wind down.

cutdown & attached to an aluminum angle bracket to fit on a softail.
I also installed lower wind deflectors (fangs).
Hope this helps,

Thanks! I was also thinking of making one, what did you use?
I started out with the touring bike's center wind baffle
58520-79TC. Its about $28 or so. You can find them
on fleabay and the stock ones are already black. Its weird
to me that the stock black one cost more than the chrome
version listed in the P&A catalog.
good luck,
T.
