Mine is doing the exact same thing. I used carb cleaner and sprayed some around the manifold where it attachs to the heads and the idle sputtered letting me know u have an air leak. Will be fixing this weekeNd. Check yours with carb cleaner around exhaust flanges and manifold

You can start by adjusting the idle mixture a little richer.
No... forget the carb for now.
Start by replacing the intake seals, see if that improves the situation.
Then adjust the idle mixture.
