I have my own credit card, and she has hers. I pay my CC bill and she pays hers. I don't ask her how much she spent on plants, and she doesn't ask me what I spend. We ain't rich, but the bills get paid.

I use yhe work address thing . When I traded my Vivid Black 1200c for my Vivid Black Lowrider,I thought about not telling her. She probably would have never noticed, but when we walked out to the garage I asked if she liked my new bike.

If it is a big ticket item, we will discuss it, and sometimes I win, sometimes I lose.

But little stuff? Hey...the paycheck has MY name on it, and if I want to rat hole $50.00 for a rainy day, I do it.

Owning a bike and riding is a priority to me, and she knows that. She expects me to have my toys.

I could easily hide any money I spend on accessories. A thousand here, a couple hundred there. No problem. I could handle that. It's coming up with 15K for the bike that I'm having trouble with.

I travel quite a bit for work which leaves me with money from mileage, etc. in a tidy little private bank account. I've had the same UPS driver for years; she knows to put any packages addressed to me in my tool shed w/o a notice on the door. I burn all the packing and boxes ASAP, receipts are keept in a locked file cabinet.

She is actually pretty good about my bike expences. I picked her up for our first date on a bike 27 years ago; she knew what she was getting into...On the rare occation we actually quibbleover bike expenditures, I just point outside at one of her three prize Border Collies and she leaves the room...

Wow, I can't believe you guys are so pu$$ywhipped....As for me, I just tell her that her Mom called me at work and was crying about not having enough money from Social Security to pay for her Dad's medication....so I sent them $1,200 in the mail and don't tell her mother because of her Mom's pride and all........then I mention how I couldn't believe some idiot threw out these chrome roadwinder wheels in the dumpster behind my office building.......works everytime..[sm=crossbonesgif.gif]

Keep separate checking accounts. Works great. She spends on what she wants and I spend on what I want. No permission slip needed here
