Just over 700 miles on my '08 Wide Glide coming back from Sturgis Sd.
1025 miles on my '12 Road Glide doing an Iron Butt ride with 4 other bikes. Recently traded the '12 Road Glide for a '15 Road Glide. Looking forward to completing a 1500 mile ride on this one. Nothing like long days in the saddle. I've seen more 700-900 mile days than I can think of.
I've never taken a picture of the bike prior to a run.
I will be heading to Daytona on it for bike week and will take a picture then. It will be set up a bit different then because my wife will be with me. The t-bags will be facing backwards on the fender rather than forward on the seat like they do for a long run.
I will post the picture after I return from bike week.
I don't use a back rest. I have had enough piled on the seat behind me to provide a backrest but still don't really use it. I have a comfortable position I fall into on a ride leaning forward a bit, often with my left arm resting on the tank bag.
Well after reading some of the other responses I don't want to tell you mine....lol
About 700 with stock seat, back pack (on my back), and a half helmet. This was an 11 SB with a stage 1 kit, nothing for comfort at the time besides forward controls. Temps ranged from about 30 degrees to 95 in that day. Taught me a few things.....
Best item I've added is a Corbin touring seat with a backrest. Don't like windshields so I will never add that...but it is just me.
800 miles in 11 hours on the way back from Sturgis. Ape hangers and no windshield.
You were averaging a good clip to do that in 11 hrs.
How did those apes feel? I've been tossing around the idea of installing some, but afraid to pay the cost to test them out....
Longest in a day on the Dyna so far, with 14" bars stock seat and mids/hi way pegs, is just over 400.
The only comfort issues I have experienced, have been from my helmet. Not the Dyna.
Longest I've done in a day on an HD was 600+. That was on a softail with drag bars, drag pipes, forward controls and a bare bones seat....that ride sucked! Uncomfortable and the drag pipes just got to me after a few hours.
