I'm not sure of all the specs on the individual filters but there is one thing to remember....
All aftermarket parts must perform as well, if not better, than the factory parts. So, these filters will perform as good if not better than the MoCo's filters. SAE godliness require it.
As far as the anti-drainback goes it is so you don't have a dry filter at start up. Little bit of oil in the filter for those initial cranks.

Every re-usable filter I've looked at uses the same 304 Stainless Steel filter element with a magnet built in. This includes the K&P. So yes, the filter elements are the same. Housings and the rubber ring vary.

Yes.

I have well over 100,000 miles on a couple of different bikes that I've been running these filters on. I go anywhere between 5-10 oil changes/filter cleanings without changing the o-ring gasket. Just take care, oil it, don't over tighten.

I don't know of any such requirement. Could you please cite your source? Aftermarket parts can be either better or worse than original parts. Perhaps you're thinking of warranty consumer-protection legislation, which states that in order to deny warranty coverage on a vehicle with aftermarket parts, it must be shown that the aftermarket parts caused or contributed to the damage.

This can be kind of a moot point with oil and air filters on a Harley, because even if there is poorer filtration (as with a K&N air filter), any increased wear probably won't cause issues during Harley's short warranty period. It would be expected to show up later as reduced engine life.

The anti-drainback valve doesn't just keep more oil in the filter so oil pressure comes up sooner on startup (which is important, since a high percentage of wear occurs at startup). It also keeps oil from draining back from the "dirty" side of the filter, taking contaminants in the filter back into the engine.

I have K&P's filter on all three bikes in my garage.
They work great and are easy to clean.

One of my brothers and a close friend run these filters; the brother has tried to preach me into getting one myself with all the aforementioned claims. I'd like to counter with; if a spin-on filter is good enough for the likes of Ferrari and Lycoming, I'm sure it's good enough for our glorified ancient V-Twins. Same goes for oil; nearly 1000 dealers conveniently stock oil of adequate quality as I ride about North America. Many of us like to obsess over minutia when it comes to our HD's...that's fine by me, but I'd rather just ride and maintain as required. If I bought one of these (I may) it would be for the convenience of not having to stock filters for the 3 bikes I maintain. Period. I've seen no solid evidence of performance or longevity claims, and all my oils and filters are properly re-cycled at this time.
