Default Doing 30/70t. ClutchSpr&shaftbearing??

So I'm doing the 30/70t swap. I'm having a local Indy do it. I questioned doing the Se clutch spring while we are in there. He said really no need. The factory set up works great. He says they do 100hp kit with it with no issues and that all your going to get is a harder clutch lever. He did how ever recommend changing the 30t shaft bearing since we are in there. Any thoughts ?

I think the SE clutch spring is smart with a Stage 1 plus cams but if no cams, no need.

Sorry 2011 Wg with 6500 miles on it. Its 100 bucks more. I said do it since your in there. Ī figure if I get a extra 4 year before I need to worry about that bearing its worth it. I'm going to wait on the clutch spring until I put some real power to it. ie Procharger and cams. 138hp. "Boom" done. Dare to dream. Thanks

If you go that big on hp/tq then a new clutch will be needed, not a new spring.

The bearing is pretty cheap I think, and to get to it you have to take the entire primary off. It's not cheap and it does wear out. I did get 50,000+ out of mine, but still I'd spend the extra while you're in there and save yourself several hundred later.
