I've got a 13 street bib with under 4k miles. Today while riding I was coming to a stop and the rear brakes started to chatter. I dont have abs. So thats ruled out. It's kinda scary feeling. My warranty is out and my local dealer is just a bunch of clueless people. Any thoughts on what could be wrong. Has anyone else experienced the read brake chattering?
Have you liked at it at all or had someone else look?
Easy things first like loose pads or caliper. Not a whole lot to the brake system. Pedal, fluid, master cylinder (doubt it's those), pads, caliper, and rotor.
Before you loose your panties ~ lol ~ sorry had to say that to maintain the tough guy junk check for dirt and or oil on the rotor, is there any deep scratches or wear marks? run over anything while riding, check things like that.
The brake system is the most basic simple thing you have on the bike, it certainly is a priority but it still is really simple.

The caliper should move a little. It should float so it can grab on both sides of the rotor.
Did this just start-up or gradually come on?
PS the youtube video shows private.
It started yesterday. It's never done it before. Just out of nowhere it did it while coming to a stop. I normally use mainly my front brake and rear brake both to even it out.
