How do you find the wind at highway speeds with the quarter fairing? I'm asking because I'm looking for some relief at 60+mph but not if it comes with the added bonus of odd buffeting wind...

On what bike? A 1/4 is going to be different on a WG and SB. On my WG I get a little more wind in my face but it doesnt bother me. I ride 75+ on the highway almost daily and have a Sena 20S with music on while riding long distance. I can still hear my music and things around me with no ear plugs.
Ordered a Softail Batwing fairing from The U.S. trailer Store on eBay. The batwing appears to be really good quality. I have to give you some details on my setup, I have a Street Bob, changed the trees over to Fat Bob trees. Then using some 49mm turn sig relocation clamps from Kuryakyn that I got off another forum member to use as mounting brackets. Then I ordered a Softail passing lamp bar from Drag Specialties. Using the clamps, I attach the bar to the fork legs, pretty easy and straight forward mount up. Then the Batwing mounted right up. I had to enlarge the radio hole to be able to install the radio with the water tight cover, but that was the extent of the mod work I had to do to it. I need to add a 7" head lamp soon and will be lowering the wing down on the forks about 2" because it sits a little higher then I like. Also, it hasn't been painted, the pics show exactly how it came straight out of the box.

Memphis shades w their hardware, picked it up at San Diego Harley 270 out the door. I went to get the clam shell hd quarter fairing, they had it but no mounting hardware, plus the fairing was 300, so it was a no brainer, that night they had a black street bob w 8 inch t bars and the Memphis shades looked good on it. I figured, the tens I had, wouldnt look too bad. So I picked it up , rode to my buddies shop down the street, w the hardware in a back pack, the fairing w my arm the headlight bucket hole, pretty much holding it on my shoulder, 30 mins later installed, adjusted and ready to rock n roll. Every piece I add on the bike changes the dynamic, so plans change a lot, at first I wanted to paint it silver to match the tin, before I got some shocks and painted the lowers. Now it blends in w the glossy black. As far as air buffeting, I wear a 3/4 helmet around town, so i guess I catch some wind, but it's a bike, if you want to block all the wind, drive a car. The full face I have is stream line, bike seems faster w it. But it's probably cuz I don't feel the wind. But I normally ride 80 -85 and it seems smooth to me. Even at 100 plus it's smooth.

Ordered mine from Dead Center Cycles in Seattle with the prewiring for radio and speakers. I've installed the fairing and moved the front turn lights...very easy to install. Won't get around to the stereo install till the end of next month. Will try to post pics...can't figure out why the front fairing pic is turned.
