Mine does vibrate quite a bit, but I'm told that can be addressed by changing/upgrading the motor mounts, front and back. I just have to keep tightening stuff all over the bike on a regular basis, or else rear floorboards get turned upside down and scrape on the corners. Otherwise, it's terrific!
Oh crap!!!! You're supposed to change fluids? Seriously though, my '02 FXDL TC88 is rock solid. Sure I chase a check engine light here and there. Yes I have rust issues. Indeed my seat is torn. But these are wear and tear items due to its daily driver status and being parked outside in the sun all day.
I am going to get me one of those new-fangled Softie LR-S models. I like the barracuda silver color. But I am sure not trading in the FXD for it. No sir, she is a keeper. Back in her glory days. No she is a bit more tired, but a good refresh from chrome to blacked out West Coast Thug style will breath new life into her. I am keeping the factory painted Luxury Rich Red wheels though.

For parking out in the sun, I would recommend getting a sun shade that covers the seat and all or most of the tank. I just got one from eBay for $10, which uses stretch straps to hook over the rear turns and my speakers on the crash bar. No more hot seat, and no wet seat, either, plus no more faded paint on the tank, since it protects from rain and sun/UV rays. And you really can't beat that price!

[QUOTE=misfitJason;13998917]One problem my dyna has is it is too awesome! Hahathe newer bikes meaning from about 84-now are plenty reliable. Most of the issues you will have are when the bike isn't left stock and you or someone else does something to it
