Once the muffler was on I put on the disks (could have done it prior as well). Remember to use plenty of anti seize on the threads and to NOT over torque. Lots of threads from folks who screw up their stack by over torquing. The specs are 15-25 inch pounds so not much needed. Follow the pattern and do it over and over again until all screws are torqued properly.

I am starting with 20 disks and closed end cap. I do have an open end cap being delivered so I can try it if I want.

Once that was done get everything aligned and start snugging bolts and clamps starting with the header flanges working backwards with the exception of the P-clamp which gets tightened last. Then the heat shields, which were frankly the hardest part (getting the stupid clamps through the slots welded to the shields).

Get the shields lined up and inserted into the collector shield (not a bad fit but there is a small gap between rear cylinder shield and collector). Snug the clamps down, shot some pics and a video! FWIW, DB reading at the ear was 85 and up to 90 at the pipe but of course the muffler is behind the rider which is kind of nice. Those measurements are without bags. The sound is pretty decent, still has some kick.

For now I'm using a map for a V&H Pro-Pipe but will work with support on a better one, do an auto-tune and then get back with Chad at Wide Open Cycles for a tune. Can't wait to try the bike out though. Hopefully weather clears out within the next couple of days!

Can't seem to get it to embed but I just posted a link to youtube. Sounds good. I'm looking forward to trying it on the road. Ego wise I'm sure I'll be down on the lesser sound but I think I'm going to enjoy the better performance and less head pounding.

Here you go robby:

Looks like you have it on wrong. As you tighten the nut it clamps around the pipe and sits flush to the bracket. The gap remains where the halves meet but it's tight.

Awesome thanks Matt. I tried it that way (as the instructions clearly point out), but couldn't seem to get the clamp angled right. Now that I see yours I'll get back to it. Maybe I'll need to bend the clamp a little, it's almost like the pipe is a little too high over the bracket.

That sounds real nice. I'm psyched to get mine on. Probably mid week next. Once it's on and I got a couple hundred miles on it, I'm going to schedule a dyno tune at my indy. Then I'll leave it alone for a while (yeah, right...)
