Ordered the basic open end cap just so I can play with it. I expect to start with the closed cap and some disks probably 20 of them and see how it sounds in all types of riding. Will I be happy or will I feel deflated by being less of a man. Depending on how that goes may try open end with fewer disks to see if I maintain torque and power and how much louder will it be
I'll be real curious how that open end cap works out. May try it on my RK with the S&S 111", if it works out good for you.
I'm damn curious to hear your results Robby - I have been looking at a pro pipe, but am a little concerned about the volume. My Cycle Shacks are tickling the max tolerability at this point. I'm going to do a dyno tune the same time I put on the pipes. My other concern is the Low Rider further forward mids, which looking at the front pipe on both the supertrapp and v&h may not fit. May have to go with standard mids.

I'll post pics as soon as I install just waiting on P Clamp. I also have the further forward mids, all the pics make it look like it should work. Fingers crossed and I'll let you know!
I love that billet open end cap, if I prefer open to closed I'll get one eventually. I know that I'm going to enjoy the relative quiet at first.
I went from shorts to the Supertrapp. Did open end cap with new exhaust. Because the outlet for exhaust is further back it is not loud for rider. It really sounds good with open end cap.
