Is the only real difference the displacement getting bumped from 88 to 96 cu. in.? Does the power go up by 9%? How much of amore would a used 07 be worth over an 06 if they both had similar miles?
96" motor and a 6 speed tranny, with the same miles the 07 is still a newer bike so IMO is still worth more...Get what you can afford and ride it like you have it's replacement picked out already...
I have an 07 Bobber, I traded my 05 RoadGlide for it...I'll be honest the power differance between the 88 and the 96 is not a huge one...Don't let it bankrupt you.. a well tuned 88 will be more than enough bike for most people..Hope this helps..Later
Run the VIN of either bike on Harley-Davidson.com. There were a couple of recalls for the '06 Bobs and (I believe) a few for the '07 as well. I love my '07 and wouldn't hesitate to own either model year.
Mostly $,I don't know what a used 07 is going for but you could have my very lightly used 06 with less than 4 thousand miles for 12,500 with all of the following; Black Thunderheader,Screaming Eagle AC, custom leather saddle bags with easy brackets and quick release straps, black Flanders flat track bars, Rev Tech DFO installed and a brand new Screaming Eagle Race Tuner still in the box. I also have all the stock take off parts so if you weren't crazy about my choice in bars, pipes or AC you can easily adjust it to your liking. The bottom line is you can get allot more for less money going with an 06. http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u...cture001-1.jpgtalk to me.
