First thread...ready to go stage 1 and looking for input
Dyna Glide ModelsSuper Glide, Super Glide Sport, Super Glide Custom, Dyna Glide Convertible, Super Glide T-Sport, Dyna Glide Police, Dyna Switchback, Low Rider, Street Bob, Fat Bob and Wide Glide.
I second the DK set ups. Get any cover like was said before PLUS no hot oily air going into your intake.
As far as a tuner like others have said...pick your poison. If your dealer is going to be doing stuff to your bike then by all means go with the Screamin' Eagle route. That's what I did. If you are going to an indy ask him what he recommends.
There are a few very good 2 into 2 systems out there. If you like the look of the 2 into 1 then it will most likely give you a performance boost. Thing to watch out for there is there is some out there that are for looks first, performance second.
It is going to be very much the same as a Sporty. It sounds like it's not your first time around this track so you should be fine. Don't over think it.
So in going thru the bike I was looking at parts from the po. I also found the original work order and it has the sert and the screamin eagle a/c paid for. Pn for the a/c us 29440_99c.
Is this the se air cleaner setup
And the sert is 32107-99c. I know this is old but is it still usable today.?

Can someone chime in on this a/c setup? I'm placing my order for pipes and tuner. Need to know if I'm buying an a/c also.
thx
So the goods all came slowly tricking in. Cobra Powerpro 2 into1 ...dk 587 outlaw a/c...and PC 5. Got the a/c in and the PC 5. That thing was kinda a bitch getting my hands in the bowels of the bike and snaking those leads through.
Now for the exhaust question. The manual says to remove the volt reg. during this process. Is this actually nessary? Cobra install manual makes no mention of it. Just trying to save myself any extra work.
I didn't get any feedback on my last post so I'm hoping for a little help this time. My exhaust stud is now snapped off. I know a machinist who will repair but how deep are those threads? I'd pull one of the other studs but they are all in rough shape and I don't want to roll the dice. Thanks
