I'm with Voyager. SEII's are a nice middle ground. If you want them louder, drop the Big City Thunder Baffles in. Can't go wrong with Vance and Hines, either.
I've got an 06 low rider, I put on Cycle Shack tapered. Got em for $140 I think delivered from Dennis Kirk. They look pretty good and in my opinion are stupid loud. They dont have as nice of a tuned sound as say V&H slip on do, but if you want loud Cycle Shacks will do the trick and the price is right. I put them on because I still havent made upmy mind on an exhaust mod as far as full system, ECM mods such as PC III or SERT etc... so if your just wanting to make it rumble and set off car alarms go with Cycle Shacks. They have slash cuts and the lunch meat cut ones too.
Keep in mind they are LOUD and I personally dontthink they have a nice tuned sound, but I just dropped em on, did no AC mod or ECM mods, runs great, but you will get an occasional after fire on decel if you give her the wood, but normal riding they hardly ever pop. Good luck on figuring out what ya wanna do.
I'll put in my vote for V&H, for reasons that should be obvious below. I ran V&H straight shots for 20,000 miles on a different bike and loved every mile. Chrome held up well and it rains almost every day in my neck of the woods.
I've had the Big Radius on my Bob since day one and couldn't be happier with them. I love the looks, but love the sound even more. I haven't put my bike on a Dyno yet, so I can't speak of performance increases. I'm running a S.E. A/C and the H-D download, so I doubt my setup is as good as other aftermarket A/C and EFI maps.
I couldnt afford the V&H Big Radius soI stuck on the Cycle Shack Turn outs. Love the retro look they provide and My god They are Loud + they were $130 Shipped. Mine have a deep throaty tone to them and best thing is I have no AC or Tuner and They have never popped on me once. I must say though I did my 5k service a few weeks back and the plugs looked lean , this summer I may have to spring for a tuner-ac. Love the V&H Big radius!!
