Actually, the shifter would return to its proper location by itself. When I put the clutch handle on, it seems as though the cable is kind of pushing it back due to the sharp curve in it, just enough to warrant the spring to bring the shifter back up after an upshift. I'm gonna fine tune it to where it'll pull back by itself (without a spring)here soon. Maybe put an "P" clamp on the clutch cable where the horn bolt is. I think if I put just enough slack in it to shift, the cable willpull back at the same time when it trys to go back to its original curve/relaxed state. I haven't had it shift by itself going over bumps so far, but the thought did cross my mind. I need to get a grip to go over the handle too. I'll have to see about getting video of it...
I don't think I'd let anyone ride it, even if they asked. To much for someone whoisn't used to it. I did worked it out to were theres no spring to pull it back up now. Used one of the two little clutch cable clamp type things that keep the cable in place that go up the frame. I moved it up to were it keeps enough pull onthe cableso thatthe shifterreturns to its proper location. Whole lot of fun to ride with it. My buddy with a crotch rocket said I should make one for him....lol. I told him it might not be too easy to pull wheelies with though. Thanks for the comments guys....definitely stands out from the crowd. Later.

not bad, the only thing that i see that doesnt really fit the look is the stock clutch lever and the clutch line... i
t would look great if ya made a lever out of chain like the shifter and maybe rerun stainless clutch cable underneath the motor through the bottom of the frame and run it up the lever to kinda conceal it and give the whole thing a much cleaner look..
I plan on putting some SS lines on my bike sometime soon and different brake/clutch levers too. I'm gonna make some different bars too here in the future and will probably get the cable/lines when I do that. Just gotta get some time.
