My goal is to have my bike look like a true CVO switchback with some modern parts flare from Roland Sands Design. really loving the look so far. Even found a CVO horn cover on eBay for only $25.
Plans are to change the air intake, finish some powder coating on a few parts and a screaming eagle top end with the appropriate clutch, cams and gasket changes.
Here is it bare bones.

I think changing to a different set of wheels along with a different front fender would do wonders to improve the looks. To me, those two things are what HD screwed up the most on Switchbacks.
Maybe a Fat Boy front fender and Fat Boy wheels could be interesting.
Or, wide white wall tires, spoke wheels, and some kind of front fender trim/light/bumper/decoration might be cool.
You could also take it old school and approximate a Duo Glide.

I disagree on the fender choice. I think the FLD stock front fender and wheels MAKE the bike. I just wish they cam in gloss black. Other wise I think its a great platform for a cruzer-touring bike. I personally think its just a tribute to the old duo glide so they just stuck with the classic touches. I love it.

1st time I've seen some of these angles on your bike. That gloss black primary looks outstanding. Overall, very very cool. Excellent blend of chrome and gloss black. Nice seeing a gloss black bike for a change vs. the flat black.
Some questions....
Which handlebar are your running? Did you use the stock lines?
Which grips?
Those 5-spoke wheels are just wrong for the FLD's vibe & that early '90's paint has to go. Swear to God, HD's design folks either a) have zero aesthetic sense, or b) are smoking bath salts in the studio. Judging from some of the abortions they've put out lately, maybe both.

Different strokes and all.....
It is the mag wheels of the FLD that was one of the aesthetics that drew me to it. I love the wheels. Only complaint, wish they had dual disks.

Great looking bike! Lose the stickers on the right front frame tube.
I like the Switchback's fenders. Just wish Harley offered a laced wheel option.
