Forward control complete...need help shifter arm
I installed the Kuryakyn forward controls and everything works fine, but I cant install the shifter arm. I can slide the shifter arm on the spine but Im having trouble bolting it down it seems like the actual bolt makes contact with spine not allowing it to engage the threaded side allowing it to tight down.

Pic might be helpful. I'm not sure whether you're talking about the inboard one or the outboard one that holds the shift peg.
Possible you're either using the wrong bolt (and used the right one somewhere else) or they gave you the wrong bolt.

It's hard to picture your dilemma, but it appears as though the lever isn't positioned properly ( deep enough? ) on the spline so the bolt can pass through the "slot" in the shifter shaft.

Are you taking the bolt completely off, then installing the shifter on the spline and then installing the bolt? If the bolt is not completely off the shifter, it will not slide on the shift shaft completely.

That's it,, you have to take the bolt all the way out,,
