I rode the M8 extensively last week in Daytona. It is a really, really nice setup. After riding the stable of bikes for 6.5 hours I noticed my left hand getting tired from the clutch on the touring bikes. It's different from the non M8's but the factory is aware of the issue among riders.
Then again under a normal day of riding for that long I wouldn't be shifting nearly as much. It sure was fun punishing the factory bikes around Daytona International Airport though. They took a licking and kept on ticking. Most of them anyway😳
Yes, heard the clutch lever was stiff on the M8's.
It really is. When Sweeetwater dropped my FXDLS they gave me an M8 RK for about two weeks. That clutch was something else for my commute. Overall smooth bike, but the increase in power is eaten up by the extra weight of the RK and bigger bikes.
I do think we will see it move the the Dyna line by either '18 or '19 at the latest. They have to meet those European emission standards if they want to keep selling bikes over there!
