We moved 2 months ago to the desert and the average temps have been 105+ every day. I ride my bicycle pretty early in the mornings so have barely gotten any good rides on the dyna in. Mostly just short sweltering rides that feel like I'm in a blast furnace.
The last couple of days have had beautiful mornings in the low 70's with highs of 93 or so. After dropping the boy off to school I finally got a chance to exercise some demons and rode up highway 74 into the mountains to Hemet and around again. Definitely rusty on the big twisties. On the way down I even pulled over for some cars who wanted to overtake me, no time for that garbage. But I got the feeling back and the bike rode beautifully!
Lol, well it's pretty much behind you now. You can enjoy riding all winter now while I'm whining about all the snow up here in the mountains.

True enough! Although, having spent most of my work life in the mountain sports industry I hope to come out to your neck of the woods and play a little as well!
My mom is in Palm Desert (Indian Ridge). I get out there once a year to visit. I want to ride Rt 74 up to Idlewyld (spelling?) and what ever road is up near Big Bear. Trying to convince mom to get rid of her golf cart so I can store a bike there.
