Default wire gauge

I am trying to freshen up a 2003 FXDWG. I have plenty of manuals and diagrams, but I cannot find the original wire gauges for what is in the bike. Can someone post this info or tell me where to find it?
Thanks for your time.

I would like to know all, probably will need to know sooner or later. But, the immediate need is the orange/white at the breaker panel, and the white in the high beam circuit.
Thanks for your reply.

Wire size is determined by the load it's going to carry versus the distance it's going. I.E. batteries -6 or 8 ga., gauges 18 or 16 ga. You would have to take the harness out and take lots of notes as to what wire to what is what size, the wires should be marked.

That's not something that will be published, wire size will vary all over the place depending on load requirements for each circuit. If you need to know, buy a wire gauge and measure it.

Here's a link to some Wire Gauge Tables which will help you to determine the awg wire size needed.

That is a great chart!

Rule of thumb, you can run larger, but never run a wire that has a lower current rating than the fuse protecting the circuit. In other words, do not run a 20 gauge wire on a circuit that is protected by a 15 amp fuse. According to this chart, most of your general system wiring will be 16 - 18 gauge wires so you can probably safely use 18 gauge wire for all applications except starting and power generating circuits that will carry large current loads. These circuits will have larger gauge wire. Just use the fuse size and distance from the fuse to the device guide your choice for wire diameter. Going larger (lower gauge number) is OK, going smaller (higher gauge number) is not advised...the wire may burn up in the bundle before the fuse opens the circuit.
