I bought my wide glide used. Previous owner stated that stage 1 with reflash was performed on bike. The exhaust is obvious but the air cleaner cover is stock. When I remove the cover will anything be indicating the upgrade?
It should look like its opened up, maybe it has a big sucker or HD makes one too. Then you use your stock cover. I think that's what you got. It will work just fine.
It's about the backing plate;
The stock plate and cover fit tight together,, with air getting in only in a hole in the front. You can't touch the filter unless the cover is off.
With the Screaming Eagle stage 1 models (and others) that can use the stock cover,, the air filter itself is exposed around it's full perimeter,, you can fit your fingers behind the cover and feel or even see the filter.
