Default Engine light question

Engine light on my 05 88 Dyna will come on when I turn the Ign. on then I wait till it goes out and start the bike. The light then comes on for about three to five seconds and goes out. It seems to run fine but was wondering if its a sensor going bad? I replaced the Starter but I doubt that has anything to do with it.

The bike is telling you that it has some trouble codes for you to check.

Follow this:

Post what you find.

i'm new to dynas so can't offer much.
from what i've seen on brief scan of the inter-webs, it's a common issue and the sensor must be replaced. hold tight someone more knowledgeable will come along will come along.

So after I cleared the code, I started the bike and let it run for a few min. I don't see a new code but the one that was on the bike was intermittent. I did put in a new map into my dynojet 3 and the eng. died would not run. I replaced the map and it ran fine. Could this have set off the sensor? should I run it for a week or so and see if it comes back on? Its not a real expensive replacement at 56 bucks at the local dealer. But if I don't have to replace it..... Thanks.
