Well it's Friday and you know what that means, yep, it's Happy But t **** me day

Could have been worse but it pisses me the **** off anyway, started screwing in the upper rocker cover bolts when I realized I had to tear it back down to install the ACR's, and this pisses me off tremendously

So, enough ****ing with it today, will open it up tomorrow to get it done.

So I installed the Rocker Rockout kit, they go in smooth for the most part. The problem is the rocker plate and specifically, how it is formed. You'll notice the mold line around the outside, well, that mold line is also on the inside of the bolt holes, some are more clear than others of that excess mold line debris.
In one of the holes it was profound enough to cause deformity on the locker, fortunately Mr. Rocker Rockout sends out one Mulligan locker incase one gets mucked up. I actually didn't do much different on installing the second one but just continued to press it in and let the bolt man-handle it on the way in.
I can see though that if one were to check for the mold line debris early on and take a dremel to it on the inside it would all but iliminate any misfires with the Rocker Rockout installations.

The TB install went smoothly, can't enough be said about precision machining.

And I want to make sure I was understood, the Rocker Rockout kit was not the problem, the problem was from the manufacturing of the rocker plate, the mold left some overflow from the mold seam that caused obstruction in the bolt hole, the Rockout kit is a smooth addition that should prove worthy!

Getting there, working on the head breather system right now, I've got some sealant/gasket maker goo hardening so figured I'd post some pics.

I've himmed and hawwed and hawwed somemore forever on how to go about the head breather, the breather bolts were always the sticky-wicket in this problem. I like my backplate and didn't want to have to change it if I went with the simple route of the breather bolts that use banjo fittings, which would have simplified things but my back plate had the deep holes that use the OEM breather bolts.
Then a month ago it dawned on me to use the OEM rubber boots and so I bought some little plastic fittings at NAPA and got the UNI filter on Amazon, some fuel line and zip-ties and bam, who knows, maybe it will work

I've got the gasket sealant filling in the grooves that the rubber breather boots that came with the backplate that then spewed into the intake. So, we'll see how this turns out.

A few pics of the Bobcat exhaust, just the muffler so if anyone is interested in looking down the muffler; the 2-1 header is very free flowing.

Is the muffler louvered or perforated? I can't remember if there is a choice on the Bobcat...

Not sure if there is a choice but it looks like the perforated (performance) type baffle cause the louvered has the metal inside angle up a lot.

Good job with the breather routing Suede. You can either spend some money and have it look purty like mine or rig something up that gets the job done which is what most people do.

It is perforated, I don't know if they offer them any other way.

We'll see how the breather holds up, it may change, should last a while though.

I do have a little concern on the front intake lifter, how it bled down. Wish I had gone with regular S&S lifters and not these Premium with travel limiter.

This one lifter when it bled down it was already loose, normally you have to loosen it some more as part of the adjustment procedure. It will cause me a sleepness night no doubt.

Put the tank on, adjust the drive belt, wash it up good before I start it tomorrow. Sadly, just when I get it done and the weather is turning nice I have to go help a family member for a little while

As long as it starts with no issues I can deal with it though

Now that IS interesting! Your BobCat muffler appears to have a "proper" band clamp to seal it to the headers.

Mine has a much less worthy welded on affair that pulls the two edges of a single slot together to make it seal. Looks like they have upgraded their approach since 2014.

Mine was a right bugger to get it to seal properly. In the end I used liberal amounts of high temperature silicone and it's been absolutely fine since. But next time it's off I might make a few more slots with a Dremel and go with a clamp like that. Makes total sense.

I think I bought mine around spring or so of '14.
