Uhhhh some Baisley work. Very nice pick. Looking forward for the results, which will be awesome! He does excellent work.
I met with him at his shop nearly 20 years ago to have some heads done then but I had to move away so it didn't happen. Very glad to finally get it done on this Dyna

I'll get some pics posted today of the bike gutted, then it will be a long wait to get everything back
Very cool! I almost went with the 117" but I didn't have the funds to pull the bottom end. Are you planning any other upgrades to go along with the motor work like a bigger throttle body, clutch, or tuner? Looking forward to your progress!
I really wanted to go 117" but have decided on 107". Having Baisley bore my cylinders, they use Axtell pistons, and they will do a very stout job on my heads.
To help keep cost down keeping my 57's and I think we are in for a very pleasant surprise when it's all done, I think this is going to be a kick-*** 107" :icon_dance-patch:
Sometimes I regret not going 117" but when I am riding I say to myself, "Self, how much power do you really need?", as I zing up to 100.
Doesn't mean that I wouldn't ever go bigger, just means I got issues....

Looking at a 55mm HPI, thinking that might be the ticket, clutch is covered earlier in this thread, Bandit Sportsman.

I'm with you, more power is great but I think I'm gonna end up with a hot package. I said hot package
Leave me alone Demon, you're bad enough influence as it is

You'll do well with Baisley since we're running similar builds what are you setting compression at?
Hmmm, much to my chagrin, I can't claim a vast experience in all that 20 years beyond desire and thoughts I did heads/cams and some compression pistons on my '95 RK but not much more than that. I was busier in life then, now I have a little more time and focus on this bike.
DB says chambers will be around 88-89cc's, compression of 10.25-10.50.
Multi-tasking as I work. While tearing down to free the crankcase I am fortifying a box to ship off the heads and cylinders. Shipping containers must be mini fortresses against the legions of harm and catastrophe!
Cylinder bolts removed as are the cam bearings, almost there.
