You haven't read about the Baker compensator failures?

Yah cause the bandit is the only one that requires so little, but baker is your best and only bet.

Like monster mentioned you can wait till you hear signs that it's knocking or if you get kick back during start.

MONSTER, that comp wear you see could be from the low level, but also from that monster your riding....shitty joke, but seriously you have one hell of a beast and none of us here have those TQ numbers here.

EDIT:
I know that the Bandit has been proven, but that low oil level really turned me off.

Are you serious? Damn! I believe the first ones they came out with had a different grade of metal and then they introduced and new manufacturer along w/ a stronger grade of metal.

If you have the link to the failures please share it cause I always surf around primary and engine section and have not come across it.

Regardless it's still the best/only option we have.

One thing about Baker, I feel very confident that if they come up with a better part to their compensator and the one you own is needing it, they will step up.

All I have heard is some issues with the springs not being up to spec for big hp/tq builds. They are not happy with who they use to make them and were looking for a better source. I believe their 630C version addresses this problem already.

Remember that soft 02 was running the Bandit when he was field testing the Baker - because of that Baker came up with those scoops on the outer diameter of the comp sprocket, so the Baker has a lower amount of primary fluid in their design. These does not guarantee perfect oiling but gives me hope.

Suede the new SE comp is a pretty nice set up, I would not give up on it yet. Run it for awhile and just give it a look over when you can, if it is hurting it will take time and it will show problems gradually, probably after 1000s of miles.

I can't be bogged down with neither fact nor fiction in the face of action, I'll run the OEM comp while searching for the middle ground of fluid level while favoring the likes of the clutch.

I say, when you find yourself in a moment of doubt, ask yourself, what would the Night Rider do in your shoes?

Hey Man, welcome back cotter!!

Glad you stopped in, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years to you and yours

Your bike is looking good, how's it running, great I expect!

Had some time since it is indeed winter here (had to snow blow 4-5" this morning) so thought I'd spruce up the bike a bit.

Don't be a stranger
