Default Power tuner

When i bought my bob i was pretty nieve to the whole HD perfomance. I came from sport bikes and was told that if i wanted to use the stage 1 and slip ons i had to get the power programer... I got it and notice a differenct but not a real $1300 difference! was i supposed to get a disk with it as well!? I keep hearing about people mapping and tuning their bikes i would like to do this as well to tweak a bit more out of her! Please let me know. if i am supposed to have a CD and when i get it how do i tune the bike??? is there a USB port or something i am supposed to use? thanks!

Which tuner? Which slip ons and A/C?

More specifics would help others help you more.

Cool i have Screaming Eagle everything.... intake (stage 1) wrapped pipes off stock headers to SE slip ons... I run a open element on my air cleaner if that makes a difference and i just ride it REAL hard. I do not want to screw anything up as i have had it in the shop 6 times since i have bought it for stupids @#$!! breaking and going out. LIKE THE WHOLE ELECTRICAL! the TRANS and the CLUTCH 2xs.... god bless wrntee... I def got hosed on the install and all the parts for 1300... i have since done all my own work. this was just the first NEW bike i have ever bought i wanted to do it right... i had always built my bikes in the past... old CB750's into CAFE's and chpprs. to be honest i had to really sit down and look at how EFI works cause i had ALWAYS had 4 or2 carbs to deal with... I just love wrenching bikes and want to learn how to work on this one myself... I LOVE THIS SIGHT!!!! it has helped me so so MUCH! (I am also currently cafe'n out a old 72 honda CB350.... fun lil toy... BUT THE POINT SYSTEM SUCKS!!! )

It is sounding like you got a stage 1 done with a flash done to the ECU. Doesn't sound like you purchased the SERT ( Screamin Eagle Race Tuner) . I do not use a SERT but my understanding is that it comes with cables and a CD or DVD with software for you to load onto your computer and it lets your computer talk with your ECU. So if you did pay for the SERT and not a Stage 1 flash you should be going back to the dealer and asking for that CD/DVD and the cables. But I am betting you were charged for a Flash only.

Have a good one,

Josh
