I just ordered a tank lift from chopper style and I just wanted to know if it will effect the gas consumption in anyway, and if there are any other negativescaused bytank lifts?
i know it throw the fuel gauge reading off a bit, but as for gas mileage prob not so much of a change. unless you go up too far and its causing gas to pool behind the pit-****??? not sure
Truthfully I noticed that my low fuel light comes on too soon...... When it did come on I filled up and it only took 2.5 gallons So I think the lift did have something to do with it...... But I would have to check with Jackyl.......So far he says a 2 inch tank lift by him changes nothing....
The extra angle means more pressure on the fuel lines so more fuel goes through the system, and you get awful consumption..
The other main thing is that with the tank lifting up a bit like that at the front, and and letting more air go under it..it acts kinda like a sail and over 56.75 MPH the front wheel takes off... makes it a bit harder st steer, but you soon get used to it...
Good though cos the extra gas costs are cancelled out by the savings on front tyre wear...[sm=shades.gif]
