Default Tank lift=less autonomy ???

As everyone has notice when we ride uphills the indication on the gas meter is reduced...
Is this happening with , let's say, a 2" tank lift?!
Does this mean there will be always a volume of gas that cannot be used thus decreasing the autonomy of a Dyna??

Default Autonomy

Partner..for the life of me I can't figure out what autonomy has to do with your gas gauge. Putting on a tank lift reduces the amount of usable fuel in the tank because the pick up (fi pump) just can't get to it.

Sorry ,Dude...probably my English is crap ...
But i think we mean the same think: " less amount of usable fuel"... ..."Less kilometers with just one full tank " .Isn't that what "autonomy" means (at least in Greek it does)?

au·ton·o·my

1. independence or freedom, as of the will or one's actions: the autonomy of the individual.

2. the condition of being autonomous; self-government, or the right of self-government; independence: The rebels demanded autonomy from Spain.

3. a self-governing community.

Same ...
+ :
Αυτονομία = Auto (self) + nomos (law) = Ability to go as far as possible on own means.
We use this word like : "autonomy of a full tank" ... that's why i got confused...
Anyway ... ... ...IS THIS HAPPENING WITH A TANK LIFT?

No, it does not affect the fuel usage, but it may/will affect the fuel reading, so you'll have to pay even more attention to the miles.
