I plan to add a tach onto my 2006 Wide Glide. There are so many choices that span a great price range. What are the differences between less and more expensive ones? How to pick the right one? Is this a case, like most, where you get what you pay for?
I considered a sped/tach combo, but it seemed a little crowded and my eyes aren't what they once were.

Thanks
i'm going to add the old school fxdx/1200r style speedo/tach mount after i get finished doing brake and wheel upgrades.
i'll probably have to switch to lowerider guages since all the indicator lights are integrated into the guages.
i hate the tank console/dash nonsense. it's hideous i prefer the clean lines of the fxdx tank layout.... probably should have just bought one of those to begin with.
I agree on the tank mounted speedometer and would prefer bar mounted ones. I guess the MOCO thought that if it was on the tank, the handlebars would have a cleaner look. One of the reasons I wouldn't make the change on my bike is that I have one of those Harley custom paint jobs that they make for a limited time. Mine is the dragon fly green combo that gets comments wherever I go.
