Help Seat question

Thanks for idea, not sure yet but i think i kinda like them. I mean i wouldnt have bought the seat with them if they had one without but now that its on the bike i think it looks pretty good. I'm just happy its going to work. I need to do some grinding and drilling on the back mounting bracket but i like it. Someone was saying it would scratch my fender i had an idea for that, when i was growing up I shot bows and we had this material called mole skin, its basically felt that has a sticky substance on one side. Do you think i could line bottom of seat with that? It did not come with the clear fender protector

Well i used the tab from my stock seat and its still too long. Are the superglide tabs different? I think with a dremel and drill i should be alright shouldn't be too hard if i mess up bracket just order new like you said only 13 bucks

FWIW, typically your seat fitment is 1996-2003 FXD. Typically (depending on seat manufacturer) FXDWG wideglide is not included. It has the rear mounting hole farther back on the fender as you've found out, but all other features are the same

Well i tried calling Saddlemen and there was a part number on the box but that said it was not right number. But its old seat they dont make anymore so not sure how to come up with it. Its called saddlemen drifter seat

I got ya, my 04 Super Glide came with the Wide Glide rear fender, (original owner swapped it) so in order to use the original seat I had to purchase the longer tab. I only run the original seat when I take my daughter for a ride, mostly I run the Tripper Solo or the Profiler Gel. Its a toss up and depends where Im going.
