Lookin to go to mid controls ..dealer got the boot to my neck.
Need help with parts and know how.
Any info would be helpful.
I know this has been done but all info seems to be old . I need some parts now maybe street Bob parts swap on your mid to forward.
Thanks
Labor intensive, you need both inner and outer primary covers. The mid control shaft goes through both. Then all that stuff in there has to come out to replace the inner cover.
You might want to look at reduced reach forwards instead, both HD and Kuryakyn make them.
its not hard. follow your shop manual and take your time. its great to do your own wrenching. I went from mids to forwards in a few hours. once you do it once it will give you a lot of confidence because you will see how easy it really is.just time and tools, you will have it done in no time.

There is a thread by HDPilot who did it on a '10 I believe. Looked pretty complicated...
