Default SE 110 Question

Now that the new Low Rider comes in a 110 option, I'm thinking of joining the Dyna family... Question though: If I would want to richen the fuel up a bit for a slight cooling effect and just overall more healthy running over the years, but I wish to keep the stock exhaust and (factory) heavy breather, would the fp3 map for stock everything, since the factory A/C is a high performance piece? Or... is it too soon after this model's introduction to get a match off of any fuel controller module? I'm SURE to not ever need any more performance than what a factory 110 will offer me, so I don't see a benefit in upgrading any parts... Just maybe a baffle removal if anything, but I DO want to get rid of the lean running of the factory settings. Thanks in advance for any replies.

If there's not a specific map for that set up you could call/email Vance and Hines and they would point you in the right direction. You can also just run the autotune on the FP3 for a few rides and that should take care of the stock lean tune

After owning built-up carbed and EFI 103's, I can say conclusively the richer carb'd bike ran cooler by test and didn't use significantly more fuel. Having said that I also found out the factory HD's have narrow band O2 sensors which are more like a switch, leaning the bike out in a "narrow" AFR, period...cannot use narrow band sensors to run richer without extra electronics to fool them (xeid's I believe they're called). I got an excellent tune with a SEPST and a dyno operator I knew well; my EFI 103 runs in closed loop as little as possible and and rich as possible within the capabilities of the otherwise stock system. My bike is for touring and I like to be as dealer friendly as I can be.

Without getting into the cost of a new tuner, I think sharkey hit on the solution. Pick up a set of XIEDs (there are a couple of versions) and they can be installed in minutes. The cost will about about $100.
You can read about them on Nightrider.com, and I think they're also sold by other vendors here. http://www.nightrider.com/parts/

Ya know, after reading up on what you're taking about, that sounds like a perfectly viable solution for what I'm trying to accomplish. And that is, modify as little as possible and enrich the AFR. BUT... and I've looked everywhere in the Web to find this answer... What the hell does XIED mean or stand for?
