The tab rests against a plate mounted on frame that doesnt appear to be any adjustment. They bike wont roll forward but I'm concerned if it was bumped or parked on a hill it might. Just thought if the kickstand was slightly over a 90 the weight of the bike would keep the kickstand down.
Also the flat spot at the bottom of the stand does not rest flat on the ground. The back of that flat spot is off the ground like it should go a little more forward.
Is it bent maybe,,, you may be able to rotate it a little more forward,,,,, if it locks in place it shouldn't be able to roll forward,,, i always keep mine in gear when parked
There is no adjustment. If it locks into place properly the bike will not fall off the stand. The jiffy stand on a Harley is one of the better engineered in the bike world.
If you want to screw around with it, let us know how it works out.
Just took kickstand off, its not bent or any damage, the spring doesnt get to the point it locks, if anything the kickstand hits the plate before it gets to a 90. You can tell by the bottom of the jiffy stand it has been this way since new. Im the third owner so this may not be the original. Anybody with an 04 seen this.
I just took delivery of a new 2016 WG yesterday.
One of the first things that caught my attention is the fact that the stand doesn't go past 90 degrees, unlike every other bike I've ever owned.

Makes me a little nervous..
I took the kickstand off and was looking at the spring when I noticed that the strike plate on the kickstand stops when it hits the stop plate on the bike. Well I noticed a groove near the bike frame that the strike plate goes into when you raise the stand. In other words when the bike is leaned on the stand the strike plate rests in that groove unable to go in either direction as long as the weight of the bike is on the kickstand.
