I've honestly really struggled with the internal throttle vs. bar-end signals situation. This year, at least, the bar-end signals won out. My ultimate goal would be some super sano setup like Exile does.
Not sure yet. I'll probably end up ordering a couple. Right now I'm thinking a metric-style stepped-back bucket with side mounts, but I haven't given up the idea of a Fatboy bucket either. Just not sure I can get the bottom mount as tucked in as I'd like.
You got me off my ***. Just ordered these... We'll see where it takes me. Realistically, I expect to make my own brackets for those clamps and the $20 headlight to be a throwaway. It will get me something to fit up and work from, though.
My backordered Motogadget kit is finally on the way. I'm chuffed! Expensive bunch of parts considering the whole point is to basically hide it all. I've got an email in to Revival Cycles tech dept. about wiring the m-unit for combined S/T/T lights. Otherwise it should be as simple as building an entirely new wiring harness. Joy! Wish I had known about the newest m-unit "blue" before I ordered the V2 + m-lock + motoscope mini. The bluetooth/smartphone integration is cool. You can turn the bike on automatically when you approach it with a paired phone. As well as use the phone for speedo/tach/idiot lights/diagnostics/programming/etc.
Got the headlight brackets and Alloyboltz today...
Not sure who the original manufacturer is on these brackets. They seem to be British based on my Googling. I got them from eBay from speedmotoco. They're nice anodized billet aluminum and appear to have stainless hardware. Not bad for $65. They fit the 49mm tubes perfectly.
