Yep. I've used them for retrofit automotive lamps.

They make some pretty cool stuff. Probably about the best throttle piece you’re going to find I think.

Throttle half-installed. I'll try to get it welded tomorrow.

Battery & M-Unit mounts finished. Still need to do some finishing work. Grind, sand, paint obviously but I'm also thinking about cutting out a bunch of lightening holes and adding some CF panels in their place...cause, why not? Need to find a better strap for the battery. That was all I could find locally.

Ignition panel finished...

I'm very interested in the battery setup... I've always thought it would be cool to build a little storage compartment in half of the battery box with a hinged door. Then I could get rid of my little side bag...

Keep up the carbon work... You'll be building F1 monocoques in no time! As long as you have an autoclave large enough... Then I'll hire you to build me a cool little carbon tail section!

Was gonna try to get a little further on my lathe work before I updated today but I think I'm out of motivation for the day.

Broke out the sewing machine (be scared!) and shortened the new battery strap. I'll hit the gray thread with some black marker before I cover everything up. Much better than the first version...my poor sewing skill notwithstanding.

Started working on the housing and lens for the turn signals.

1/2 x 3/4 x 2 aluminum channel and acrylic lens trial. When I started this morning I decided to scuff the lenses, but I think I'll try them polished now that I've got the channel where I want it (finish-wise).

I mis calculated the height of the diodes so they protrude above the face of the channel a bit. That prevents the half-round from setting properly, so O ordered some ball end mills to cut a clearance radius.

No lens, diodes at lowest possible power (.001 amps)

Half-round lens, diodes off.

Tubular lens, diodes off.

Half-round lens.

Tubular lens

After that, I started working on the spacers for the m-switches. I need to make two pairs, each with different outer profiles and thicknesses. I'll get the trial part blanked out tomorrow.

are you adding something to prevent rearward movement of the battery? looks like it is trapazoid-ish and will get free from the strap.

Done did. It's just not visible in the pic. I made three of those wire loops that the strap threads thru. The third is welded to the back wall of the battery tray.
