M-switch spacers are blanked out. Still need to drill and tap for the set screws and then paint. Need to figure out what paint matches the controls. Tomorrow.
They aren't as graceful as I'd like but I didn't want to modify the stock controls to make it all flow better. I plan to replace them in the next year or two anyway, so I'll put more effort in then.
Test fit to ensure they mate as intended. I still need to determine the clocking of the buttons and drill the bars for the wire pass-thru so it's just hanging backwards on the end of the bar for this pic.
I thought I could shorten the stock throttle cable but it's too short, so I ordered the necessary bits from Flanders. $9 for 4' of cable, fittings, and adjuster. Not sure what shipping will be. I guess I should have ordered my clutch cable parts, too, but didn't think about it until just now.
Got the standoff mount XT60. Need to sit down and play with locations, but it looks like a winner.
Ordered a couple pounds of 2 part urethane rubber and polymer modeling clay to make plugs/covers for this connector as well as the holes in the neck. That should be fun.
Thanks. Formal PT is all done. Just trying to get back into my old fitness routine now. I used to run about 20 miles/wk, but haven't had the energy or motivation to really get back to it. I'll be with my sister all of Dec and she goes to the gym every day so that will help me. Her routine will help kickstart mine...I hope.
Thanks everyone (DeDe, Tarik, etc) for the kind words the last couple weeks.
