Nice scale! You do HVAC work? I really should have grabbed one of the surplus scales from work before I left. I didn't even think about it. I'm just using a bathroom scale for everything over 5 pounds. That's the limit of my .1 gram accurate scale.

Been sitting here for a few days now putting off my metalwork because I'm pretty confident I'll burn the welds on the tank body because my antique MIG welder has terrible low voltage control.
So, after quite a bit of research I bit the bullet and ordered a multi-process 120V/240V AC/DC TIG/Plasma machine. Everlast PowerPRO 164Si. It's stable at 5A DC and should be able to cut and weld most anything I'd want to mess with myself.

I'm super excited! Have wanted both TIG and Plasma capability forever and this was just the project and timing I needed to finally pull the trigger.
My MIG is fine for 14ga and up but it doesn't have much adjustability at the low end and I'm tired of using a cut-off wheel and bandsaw for cutting.
This should really make fabrication a lot more fun.

What's wrong with stick welding? I replaced my chevelles tulip panel with a stick machine. I use that little esab for everything. Mabye not the prettiest and less control... Yeah I really want a nice a.c./d.c. water cooled tig machine so I can weld aluminium.
